My name is Aiden Kennedy, and I am a Junior at Penn High School. Since a young age, I have always wanted to help people excel academically. After researching national tutoring schools myself, I wanted to help out students achieve their potential in school without spending thousands of dollars. I have been tutoring for over three years, and want to expand my business to help as many students as I can.
What's your "power song" when you need to get things done?
It depends on my mood, but I find that most Illenium songs help me focus. My favorite is defintely "All That Really Matters".
What is your favorite way to spend your time off?
I spend my time with my family, my friends, watching NASCAR, NFL (fins up!), and college football/basketball.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Being able to fly would be so fun... I have to go with that.
What's your secret for staying focused during a long study session?
I like to do a quick exercise before I study. Nothing that would completely tire me out, but something that gets the blood moving. That usually helps my mind stay concentrated.
What is your hack for beating procrastination?
I always try to remind myself how calming it is knowing you have everything you need completed already done. Relaxing becomes so much better when there is no looming feeling that you still have work to do later.
What is one piece of advice you'd give your middle-school self?
Be yourself. I often found myself worrying about how others perceived me, but as soon as I stopped caring, life became so much less stressful.
Hi, my name is Jacob Pennington, and I’m a Junior at Penn High School. I am an athlete, specifically a wrestler, and am also incredibly passionate about engineering, math, and science. I am excited to be able to teach young students about what I’m passionate about!
What's your "power song" when you need to get things done?
I listen to a wide variety of music, but when it comes to locking in, I like to listen to Chess by Joyful.
What is your favorite way to spend your time off?
I like to spend time with friends and family, playing pickleball, videogames, and working on personal projects.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I think to be able to read other people’s minds would be cool…or maybe not?
What's your secret for staying focused during a long study session?
Some good study music and an incentive usually does the trick. I like to function on a “work first, then play” attitude, where I’ll have frequent 5-20 minute breaks in which I do something fun, keeping the mind fresh and not making studying so hard!
What is your hack for beating procrastination?
Remembering the reason behind whatever I must do usually motivates me to beat procrastination. However, if I’m not motivated at all, I’ll remind myself of the consequences if I don’t complete said task.
What is one piece of advice you'd give your middle-school self?
Don’t be afraid to be a nerd. I would often shy away from my own intellect in order to fit in with the “cool kids.” Don’t do this, the real “cool kids” are the ones who do what they are passionate about, and don’t let others tell them what to do!

This is such a tough question. I’m usually in one of three moods: 2000s top hits, instrumental music, or absolute silence😂
What is your favorite way to spend your time off?
When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me outdoors with my husband and our dog, in the kitchen baking, or off exploring somewhere new.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, it would be super speed - just to make some tasks go a little quicker.
